About Us

Our mission is to build on individual and family strengths which support growth and healthy lifestyles.

Since opening our first program in 1974 Comox Valley Family Services has grown and evolved into a supportive, caring, and thriving social service organization that provides a comprehensive range of programs and services.

We are a non-profit, charitable society governed by a volunteer board of directors. We are proud to be accredited through two agencies – CARF (Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and the BC Association of Family Resource Programs.

Our priority over the past 50 years has been to offer support services that can help families, children, individuals, and our community flourish.

We provide services to individuals and families in the Comox Valley and surrounding areas – The City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, and the Village of Cumberland. Other areas include the northern communities between the valley and Oyster River and southern communities as far as the Union Bay area.
