CVFSA’s Healthy Families program offers welcoming, non-judgmental support from pregnancy through age 6—helping families build a strong foundation for life.

If you’re pregnant or parenting a young child and could use support—whether practical, social, or emotional—you’re welcome here.

Our team offers both weekly group programs and one-to-one outreach, creating safe spaces for parents to connect, learn, and access the practical help they need.

Families join us for many different reasons. Some are new to parenting, new to the Comox Valley, or looking to build community. Others are simply seeking a welcoming place to check in, learn about parenting, access community professionals (such as Public Health nurses, dental hygienists, nutritionists, mental health counsellors, and infant-development specialists), or connect with our staff and outreach workers. We also receive referrals from local partners including the Immigrant Welcome Centre, Aboriginal Head Start, Island Health, the School District, and the Comox Valley Early Years Collaborative.

No matter how families come to us—or what they’re hoping to find—we meet each parent where they’re at and offer support in a way that fits their needs.

Our goal is simple: to help families feel supported, connected, and confident—and to give young children the strongest possible start.

Healthy Families’ would like to gratefully acknowledge core programs funding from:
