Leslie has her Masters in Counselling Psychology.  Leslie has been an art therapist and counsellor for 30 years.

Leslie is a counsellor with our Sexual Abuse Intervention Program that takes community, self and community agency referrals. Leslie has an extensive background as an art/play therapist and helping children and families.  Leslie's former work was in private practice for 8 years in Vancouver, working with children, youth, and adults and currently has a private practice in the Comox Valley area.

Leslie helped develop the therapeutic group called 'Creating Calm'. Leslie is a key facilitator with this group that works with children 7-9, 10-13 and sometimes youth 13-15 years.

She has worked with children, youth, adults, and families who have experienced a range of life challenges. Her areas of knowledge and experience include child abuse/neglect, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, parent-teen relationship issues, and strengthening family relationships.

Leslie offers varied counselling approaches in accordance with client needs such as Art and Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She believes that a supportive, collaborative, and trusting relationship is integral to creating a positive counselling experience for our clients.
